So far what I have done is replace the front leaf springs with a front clip from a Crown Victoria,in the process of boxing the frame and adding a four link suspension.This is the engine / trans combo that was installed in the truck prior to the swap. The short bed F100's and Crown Vics wheelbase are within an inch of each other. I have a buddy that didn't his swap in about 3 weeks, only working onnit some evenings and on weekends.

Another thing you could do, is simply swap the frame out. Here in South Florida, the local junkyard has like 30+ Crown Victorias, all rust free, with perfect bodies. You could swap out your body for one of these (get the rolling frame for $100 bucks). Just something to think about.
