So I recently put together an AR9 using Foxtrot Mike upper and Aero lower. I have both the ARMaglock gen 2 and 4. Now I had intentions of using the gen 2 on this, but when I installed it, the upper would not seat correctly and the kingpin was not functioning right. I took it off and installed the gen 4 and it worked. Tried the stock spring. Stiff, but it kind of helped with punching out the maglock after dropping the mag. However, after some reading, I replaced the stock spring and detent with the one provided by ARMaglock. I then replaced the stock spring with the ARMaglock spring, and now it provides sufficient push to operate normally. Used with the standard AR-15 kit to install on an AR-10, or use on wider than normal lower receivers. Many AR-10/.308’s and carbon lowers are wider than MIL-SPEC AR-15’s, this is the kit you will need for those circumstances. If you purchased the AR-10/.308 kit from us, you do NOT need this kit, the spacer and longer screw are already included.
