Tried a few times, wiggled the key, no joy. The interior lights came on just fine and were bright. I went ahead and got a brand new battery considering my current was an OEM. Haynes and internet research suggest the main relay is faulty, when you lose power to all systems. They instruct to turn on the key, to put a 12V test on the 85 pin (red'white wire) on the relay to make sure there is power to the relay. And if it has power and doesn't click, replace the relay.
