I have a 2008 2.2 CDTI..had same problem ,except squeaked with every press and release..lived with it for a long time...finally after looking at forums and speaking to Honda dealer,went for the recommended solution..new clutch master cylinder ( £200 - £300 forgot exact price) It was done 15mths ago and never squeaked once..worth doing.

We replaced the fluid with the approved Honda fluid and the noise is still there and may be a little louder.
