When our 2013 KIA Soul has sat idle for an hour or two after driving when it is started back up it often idles very roughly and will even kill and need to be restarted and then still run rough. Every now and then, the RPMs would drop before going back up. Most folks would not notice. I do. At a cold start, my idling RPM was at 1300. After a brief warm up, that dropped to ~1000 RPM. Putting the AT in Drive, resulted in a drop to ~790 RPM. Turning on the AC, resulted in another drop, to ~750 RPM.

DEALER SAID KIA HAS PROBLEM WITH HIGH IDLE. I posted before about a high idle at startup when the car sits overnight. If the car sits out or in the garage it idles up to 2600-2700 rpms then drops. I took a video the other day, it was 47 degrees out and it revved up. I showed the service dept. and he said there is nothing he can do.

I own a 2017 Kia Sorento SX V6 with <6000km on it, and it has developed a rough idle. The car shudders while stopped in Drive or Park, the consistency of the shudder varies, sometimes it is slight and sometimes it is more severe and noticeable.
