It is a polymer frame, the same as the Lite model. The difference is the upper and barrel. The 22/45 Tactical has a steel upper and heavy steel barrel whereas the Lite has an aluminum upper and sleeved barrel. Out of the box it is as accurate as the Ruger with a little better trigger. Plus you can upgrade the barrel using Volquartzen barrels later if you want.
